The Position The City of Riverside is accepting applications for the position of Deputy City Attorney to fill three (3) vacancies in the Litigation Division with the City Attorney's Office. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS: Deputy District Attorney I is the entry level classification in this flexible series. Initially under close supervision, incumbents learn and perform the less difficult and non-controversial assignments in the District Attorney's Office under the direction and guidance of the District Attorney and more senior attorneys. Incumbents normally advance to the higher level of Deputy District Attorney II after gaining experience, achieving proficiency and demonstrating the ability to perform tasks as assigned that meet the requirements for Deputy District Attorney II.
