Major Duties
Under general supervision, the Multimedia Specialist is responsible for documenting the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) by creating specialized photography and videography for the program as well as individual units within the program. The incumbent communicates program information through the use of visual materials, working with computer and camera technology in the production of a wide variety of materials to be used in printed and video output such as brochures, flyers, reports, newsletters, booklets, posters, promotional videos and social media graphics; creates materials also used for the EOP website, conference and campus exhibits, training sessions, and other public information projects representing the Educational Opportunity Program at California State University, Northridge; is responsible for EOP social media management, archiving of EOP photography, videography, and general materials; and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with a Bachelor's degree in job related field. Equivalent to one (1) year of full-time experience in multimedia production. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Thorough knowledge of production techniques and photography and videography equipment. General knowledge of production principles and practices for instructional media. Ability to develop, create, stage and/ or produce professional quality visuals and evaluate production effectiveness in meeting objectives. Strong writing skills including the ability to learn narration and continuity script writing. Working knowledge of tools for authoring interactive multimedia products delivered via a variety of synchronous and asynchronous techniques. Strong research skills and broad knowledge of resources and techniques which communicate information through multimedia productions. Ability to understand operating procedures and underlying technology in order to use and troubleshoot equipment and systems. Strong organizational skills to independently manage and coordinate all facets of production, budgets and other projects. Solid to advanced photographic capabilities, as well as photographic processing and manipulation skills. Ability to provide lead work and project direction to other staff. Ability to work with and train students involved in production projects.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
The university offers an excellent benefits package.

The salary range for this classification is: $3515 - $6358 per month.
The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $3515 - $4600,dependent upon qualifications and experience.

HOURS: Full-Time; 40 hours per week; 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. May include some evenings and weekends.

REG: This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period.
