Full-time position available with KC Water Engineering Division located at 4800 E. 63rd Street.
Salary Range: $3,957-6702/month
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

Assists in the planning, designing, and direction of various engineering projects. Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, hydrological characteristics, and geologic data to plan and design projects. Prepares or directs preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for projects. Inspects construction sites to monitor progress and ensures conformance to engineering plans, specifications, construction, and safety standards. As a Graduate Engineer, you will be expected to manage multiple projects at the same time and in different stages of development, from planning, budgeting, and conceptual stages, to construction, asset management, and final close out. Calculates cost and determines feasibility of projects based on analysis of collected data. Directs construction and maintenance activities at project site. Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents. Performs analysis and prepares reports in Operations and Maintenance Divisions.
REQUIRES an ABET accredited Bachelor's degree in any professionally recognized architectural/engineering discipline as required by the hiring authority. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen as prescribed by the City. Preference given to applicants with a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering and/or successfully passing the Fundamentals in Engineering exam, and/or experience working on design/construction of water, wastewater or linear asset infrastructure projects.
