Purchase, set up, calibrate, maintain, and repair Physics and Astronomy laboratory equipment. Plan, acquire, and distribute/deploy laboratory materials and equipment. Develop schedules for routine maintenance that minimizes downtime of equipment used in the Physics and Astronomy labs. Work with faculty and CSUF Environmental Health and Safety to assist in the development of standard operating procedures and ensuring compliance with appropriate safety and security procedures. Collaborate with faculty in the development of new or updated instructional offerings dependent on materials, supplies, and equipment support; assist or solve problems related to laboratory materials substitutions, costs, or new equipment acquisition.
