Asst/Assoc/Full Professor-Vascular Lubbock 29164BR Position Description The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Department of Surgery is seeking to recruit a Vascular Surgeon at the assistant or associate professor level, to become the third member of this growing division. The successful candidate must be BE/BC and Fellowship trained in Vascular Surgery. Up to date skills and knowledge across the entire spectrum of modern vascular surgery including endovascular, percutaneous interventional, minimally invasive and open vascular procedures for both elective and emergent indications in a Level 1 trauma center academic teaching hospital, as well as in the outpatient and clinic setting, are extremely important. Interpretation of non-invasive vascular studies is a must, therefore, at least an RPVI qualification is needed. The candidate should have exemplary clinical skills, a team spirit, collegiality and an interest in teaching general surgery residents and medical students, and scholarly activity. Mentorship of faculty to grow in their careers and fulfill their career goals is a personal commitment of the Chair, and senior faculty have a strong track record of welcoming newer members to the team.
