A Construction Inspector inspects and ensures compliance with City standards, codes, and specifications utilized in the construction of public facilities such as utilities, building sewers; curbs, gutters, and sidewalks; and street development. This is a classification whose incumbents perform routine inspections of public works construction and associated tasks. The incumbents may also test construction materials. Work is done in the office, field, and testing lab.
