Reporting to and under direct supervision of the General Services Manager, the Reprographics Specialist performs clearly defined tasks and the less complex reprographics functions, such as, high speed copying, digital printing, offset printing, bindery and related services.
This position requires completion of a high school education or equivalent certification plus one year of related experience working in printing or print related field or an equivalent combination of experience and education. This position requires basic computer skills and working knowledge of reprographics operations and functions; ability to read and write at a level appropriate for the position, ability to follow oral and written instructions; and the ability to perform mathematical calculations. Basic proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) required. Knowledge of Google Suite, Printer's Plan and PeopleSoft preferred. Basic knowledge of bindery and finishing equipment including paper/flat cutter, folder, Stitcher, drill, comb, spiral and wire-o punchers preferred. The ability to set up and run digital printers and fiery systems preferred. The incumbent must successfully complete a pre-placement exam.
Salary and Benefits
Starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience and will not exceed $3,120 a month. This is a full time, non-exempt position, which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period.
This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 14 paid holidays are offered each year; 13 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.
