Hiring Salary Range $20.42 per hour - $24.26 per hour $42,478.06 - $50,450.61 annually The Supply Technician coordinates purchases of supplies, uniforms, equipment, and services for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO). Creates and receives purchase orders through management system. Maintains accurate accounting practices for inventory control while ensuring adequate stocking levels are achieved. Performs supervision of inmate workers on training, safety procedures, use of equipment and building maintenance. Performs a variety of warehouse, delivery, and administrative support functions. Employee is subject to the hazards of direct contact with jail inmates. Checks invoices and packing slips for accuracy.Delivers goods to personnel atJCSOcomplexes. Ensures stocked items are organized and accessible. Receives deliveries via loading dock and operates pallet jack to unload material from trucks. AssistsJCSOpersonnel with requests by using management system to source goods, create requisitions, and purchase orders. Receives and issues supplies and materials to JCSO personnel. Maintains records for tracking deputy issued equipment and uniforms. Generates vouchers for equipment purchases, performs equipment fittings and logs returned equipment. Maintains inventories and tracks stock items to add or delete based on usage. Communicates daily with other divisions and vendors to ensure customer service needs are met. Supervise inmate workers, which includes but is not limited to training on the use of burnishers, auto scrubbers and buffers as well as use of chemical and MSDS guidance. Supervises general maintenance, snow removal, painting, and trash removal.Trains new inmate workers in accordance with policy and procedures. Coordinate withcounty purchasing for items allocated as capital equipment. Perform yearly inventory. Coordinate monthly surplus pickup. Performs accurate record keeping of inventory being sent to auction. Other duties as assigned.
