GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION Under basic supervision, assures a smooth transition for guests onto and from the course. Ensures efficiency of cart loading, cart cleanliness, staging, and storing. Assists with other day to day operations around the golf course. SUPERVISION RECEIVED Works under the supervision of the Assistant Golf Professional and the indirect supervision of the Golf Professional. SUPERVISION EXERCISED None Minimum Qualifications/Special Requirements EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Minimum of 16 years of age or older. Some experience working with the public. Graduation from high school or GED equivalent preferred. Some experience working on a golf course preferred, but not required. Any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Possess a valid Arizona state driver's license or ability to obtain one upon hire. Job Description Under minimal supervision, the Gate Attendant is a front-line customer service position which requires the physical stamina to stand, walk, or sit for 8 or more hours per day in an outdoor work environment. Gate Attendants are responsible for managing cash collected from selling tickets to patrons entering beach parks. Assignments will require work on various holidays, weekends, and during special events. Employees may at any time be required to work in order to provide for the safety and well-being of the general public, including the delivery and restoration of vital services in the event of an emergency.
