Under the supervision of the Saddleback College Director of Community Education and designees to assist the Saddleback College for Kids staff in providing a quality learning experience and safe environment to the participants, parents, staff, and visitors to the program. To assist in providing supervision and activities to program participants. Responsible for following all College For Kids policies and procedures. Follows all Saddleback College policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Communication with parents, teachers, and students, and refers any outstanding issues to Station Lead or Program Lead. Watches over children on regularly scheduled class breaks. Assists children in locating their classes on campus. Escorts children moving to and from the classroom buildings and the athletic facilities. Performs transitions between 2-3 times per day from upper campus to lower campus. Conducts safety checks each half hour. Provides a service to parents who need assistance in locating their child's room or teacher. Administers first aid and CPR as necessary. Attends mandatory meetings and training sessions as scheduled. Represents Saddleback College Summer College for Kids Program in a positive, professional manner to the community. Performs other related tasks as assigned. Employees work outdoors and are exposed to variable weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold. May be exposed to blood and body fluids while rendering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
