Peer Programs, also supervised under this division, provide coordination of service delivery efforts that offer stigma-free, peer support for individuals living with serious mental illness and/or seeking recovery from substance use and their family members. Clubhouse and Community Connections also operate under this division; Clubhouses are recovery-oriented centers operated throughout the county and provide peer-run programs using a Recovery, Wellness, and Resilience model for adults living with a behavioral health challenges. Community Connections focuses on connecting individuals ages 16 and over with opportunities such as improving pre-employment skills, volunteering, paid employment, and engaging in peer support. The Emergency Preparedness Coordinator is committed to increasing the City’s capacity to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies and disasters. This is an exciting leadership position that includes supervision of an engineering team dedicated to delivering Tahoe transportation projects in the Eastern Placer region.
