Salary: $86,382.40 - $119,038.40 Annually USD
The Department of Public Works is recruiting for a Stormwater Program Manager to administer and manage a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Program for the County Flood Control District. Responsibilities include supervising and directing the activities of technical staff, and preparing agreements and coordinating between involved agencies.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Background: Incumbent must successfully complete a background check prior to appointment.
Travel: Travel to various sites and throughout the County is required; a valid California class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance must be provided at time of hire and maintained throughout employment.
Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree in hydrology, civil engineering, chemistry, biology, physics, environmental science or a related field. Completion of EPA water related courses are desirable.
Experience: Three years assessing NPDES permit applications, writing and monitoring NPDES permits and interpreting the laws, rules and regulations affecting NPDES permitting, which includes one year in program management or coordination.
