About Probate Court: The court handles various matters including the administration of decedents' estates, the issuance of marriage licenses, the appointment of guardians and conservators, and involuntary commitments. It is headed by an elected probate judge who serves a four-year term. About our opportunity The Office of Probate Court is excited to hire a temporary clerk to join their team. This role will help support the office by performing general receptionist duties and provide assistance with imaging, filing, shredding, and answering the phone as assigned. Our ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with a customer-friendly attitude and the ability to work in a team environment. Compensation: $15.59 per hour (This position is not eligible for benefits). Length of position: currently this position is budgeted through the end of June. Funding has been requested to continue for the budget that starts July 2024 but has not been approved at this time. Work Schedule: 19 hours weekly; schedule should be flexible Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 am to 5 pm. Performs related work as assigned. About you Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Some college preferred such as Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies, Law, or related field.
