Are you looking to practice medicine and maintain a positive work-life balance? A career with California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) allows you to focus on providing quality care without the burdens of managing insurance paperwork or maintaining an unrealistic patient load. Here, in a supportive, collaborative environment, and in conjunction with one of our dedicated physicians, you will deliver primary care to our diverse patient population.

All nurse practitioners (NPs) with CCHCS must have current California RN licensure and Nurse Practitioner Furnishing certificate with board certification issued by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner.

We currently have opportunities at Centinela State Prison located just south of Imperial County’s desert community of El Centro. With an array of metropolitan conveniences, natural attractions, and recreational activities, this is the ideal place to enjoy the work/life balance you’ll find with CCHCS.

In return for your efforts, CCHCS provides a competitive compensation package, including:

  • 40-hour workweek - affords you true work-life balance
  • Generous paid time off and holiday schedule
  • Paid insurance, license, and DEA renewal
  • Robust 401(k) and 457 savings plans (tax defer up to $41,000 - $68,000 per year)
  • Visa sponsorship opportunities
  • Paid CEU with paid time off to attend
  • And much more
