Duties may vary, but can be generally described as: planning, assigning, coordinating, directing, scheduling, evaluating, verifying, training, and processing of information. A thorough knowledge of policies, procedures, and methods for the area of responsibility is required. Initiative and independent judgments are frequently exercised in formulating procedures or methods, and in program coordination. Provides outreach to communities regarding our programs. Evaluates, designs, coordinates and implements training and education programs specific to departmental specialty. Works within a team to organize and implement child and adolescent mental health educational activities with Independent School Districts (ISDs), communities, and providers across our region. Educational activities are delivered in virtual, face-to-face, and hybrid environments. Travel will be required to attend educational activities, conferences, meetings, and other events to meet the needs of our programs. Implements outreach and educational activities related to child, adolescent, and perinatal mental health and substance use as determined by relevant knowledge, experience, and training. Establishes and maintains relationships with independent school districts (ISDs), communities, and providers in our region. Completes assigned trainings in a timely and efficient manner. Evaluates the success of the learning experiences through soliciting feedback/assessment. Drafts, edits and prepares correspondence, reports and other material using word processing, spreadsheets and/or databases. Coordinates outreach and educational activities, including scheduling, logistics, and follow-up communication with internal and external participants and venues. Prepares and maintains program records. Prepares and organizes training materials and curriculum. Provides for smooth day-to-day flow of communications within the programs. Maintains administrative workflow by studying methods, implementing processes, developing reporting procedures, and implementing changes when needed. Collaborates with professionals in a variety of settings such as higher education institutions, school districts, community-based providers and others through face-to-face, email, phone or mail contact. Constantly maintains a professional rapport and upholds TTUHSC values throughout all interactions. Develops and updates monthly productivity reports. Maintains and updates professional knowledge and proficiency through continuing education, staff meetings, workshops and serving on special committees. Required Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Five years progressively responsible CHW experience. Additional education and/or related experience to equal five years may substitute on a year for year basis.
