The Project Liaison/Program Administrator will work with local carriers, community-based organizations, other agencies (The State, County, neighboring Cities, etc.) and other City Departments on 5G technology, broadband, digital divide, and broadband offerings for the community. The City is seeking to continue the implementation of 5G with carriers as well as addressing the digital divide (unserved and underserved residents) within the City. The ideal candidate will need to have a good knowledgebase of broadband technologies including fiber, wireless and networking. Understanding of planning, permitting and construction surrounding broadband is advantageous. Knowing the City of Fresno's coverage, unserved/underserved areas as well as understanding offerings (carrier plans, opportunities, etc.) within the City is a plus, or showing an aptitude to acquire the skillset would be desirable. Up to maximum of five (5) consultations per family member per incident per year City paid benefit Retiree Medical Reimbursement Program: Employees who retire from the City with at least ten (10) years of service shall receive reimbursement to help cover retiree single health insurance premiums. The reimbursement maximum includes the PEMHCA minimum. Up to age 65, retirees are eligible for reimbursement up to $416/month in 2024(amount adjusted annually) After age 65, retirees are eligible for reimbursement up to $249/month in 2024(amount adjusted annually) Closing Date/Time: Continuous
