The Division Manager HHS-Animal Services is an At-Will position, reporting to HHSA's Director of Fiscal Operations. The Division Manager of HHS-Animal Services will assign, supervise, and coordinate the activities of the Animal Services Division and oversee the establishment of effective policies and procedures. The successful candidate will administer the licensing and enforcement programs and represent the County as the Director of Shelter Operations, overseeing animal care operations and the adoption facility. The incumbent will also oversee public education and outreach programs. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of animal service laws, rules, and regulations, budgeting techniques and principles, and program and policy development. Additional duties include developing effective working relationships with community groups, advisory boards, and other County departments engaged in animal services. Typical Duties Key Responsibilities Assign, supervise, and coordinate the activities of the Animal Services Division. Supervise, train, and evaluate staff. Develop productive working relationships with other agencies, veterinarians, and public groups to enhance support for animal services programs.
