(Administrative Analyst/Specialist NE)

Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $3518 - $3,693 per month

Full CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,518 - $6,791 per month
  • This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), probationary, non-exempt position.
  • Positions at Fresno State are to perform their work onsite. Some positions, depending upon University needs and operations, may be eligible for remote work, one day per week, pursuant to Fresno State's remote work guidelines and the CSU policy.

Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Associate Dean in the Kremen School of Education and Human Development and the lead work direction of the Counselor Education and Rehabilitation department chair and program coordinators, the Counselor Education Placement Coordinator (CEPC) is responsible for the full scope of field placement of Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential students and CER graduate students in field practice. The CEPC supports CER programs with knowledge of effective counselor preparation and clinical practice. Assignments include independently performing the following: planning, organizing, prioritizing, interpreting, guiding, and applying discretionary skills to assist students and all stakeholders; coordinating tasks and events requiring timely and accurate planning; applying, interpreting and ensuring compliance with applicable university, Kremen school, division level, the Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs (CACREP), California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC), the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation, (AAQEP) and other relevant state and accreditation policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Key Qualifications
  • Learn and interpret a wide variety of complex policies and procedures and support the mission of the department, school, and university related to program admission.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within and outside the work group and serve as a liaison for the unit to other academic departments and community partners.
  • Understand and abide by the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA), and State of California policy regarding the confidentiality of records.
  • Independently coordinate complex systems, routine work assignments and projects including handling multiple priorities.
  • Responsive, innovative, results oriented and student centered in developing practices to address student needs and academic program requirements.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.
  • Three years of clerical experience and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience.
  • Documented experience working in a complex operation that utilizes workflow system for management of records including data and statistics.

Specialized Skills:

Recent experience in:
  • Experience managing student files and document workflow in a complex student data system, preferably Tk 20 by Watermark and PeopleSoft Student Administration.
  • Knowledge of the CACREP, CCTC, and BBS standards related to the CER programs and credentials.
  • Ability to maintain webpages utilizing Omni CMS or other content management system.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Student Administration.
