Under general supervision, the Campus Safety Specialist (CSS) performs security, public safety support, community engagement, and related community service functions to support a safe, inclusive and welcoming campus environment for all Titans to thrive. The Campus Safety Specialist will provide safety support to designated social workers and/or police officers during the response to people in crisis for situations that do not involve weapon(s) or violence. When directed, the Campus Safety Specialist will transport people in crisis to designated facilities. They will also provide safety escorts to community members. Evaluate and review insurance policies; ensuring agreements for short-term rentals have proper documentation in relation to insurance, payment, and signed agreements. Create and prepare various agreements and revenue reports related to short-term rentals. Maintain and create electronic and paper records and files of each short-term rental agreements. Provide strategic event planning skills while producing and executing basic event plans, from concept through execution of each event. Track, monitor, and compile data of client bookings and maintaining close contact with clients and service partners to ensure a successful event. Coordinate with Enterprise Risk Management and Procurement to review and amend agreement verbiage to ensure rental agreements meet legal and liability standards. Ensure proper billing to clients is accurate and assist in the collection of past due invoices. MARKETING & SALES Assist with developing effective marketing strategies including re-branding and web presence to maximize revenue for the university. Assist with developing program proposals with revenue and cost analysis to plan revenue and business. Assist with developing a campus-wide training for event planning on campus. Assist with negotiating vendor partner rates for event services and equipment. LEADING & TRAINING Lead and coordinate student assistants, which includes, hire, train and feedback of the student workforce. WHAT YOU'LL DO The Senior Transportation Engineer supervisors the Active Transportation and Mobility section of the Transportation and Parking Division of Public Works. This position is a working supervisor managing both assigned project workload and overseeing the project work completed by subordinate staff and consultants. This position will also be public facing representing the Active Transportation and Mobility section at public meetings within the community. The position directly oversees the successful delivery of a wide variety of projects, programs, and initiatives. This includes planning, pre-design, design, and construction phases for active transportation projects many of which are funded through Caltrans active transportation program grants. The incumbent will also be called upon to perform technical Traffic Engineering related duties such as traffic signal timing, speed surveys, warrant analyses, and review of development related traffic studies. As a registered professional engineer and/or traffic engineer, the Senior Transportation Engineer is responsible for in-house design work including work performed by subordinate staff. WHO YOU ARE The ideal candidate for this position will have: Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects while remaining conscientious of schedules and budgets. The ability to be team-oriented and work both cooperatively and collaboratively. Transportation Engineering experience in a municipal or county public works department. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability and willingness to go out to a community setting to present transportation related topics. A dynamic leadership ability to effectively direct the work of staff, consultants, and contractors. Experience in the filed of Traffic Engineering Skill and experience in reviewing, editing, and providing useful feedback on work products including reports, plans and specifications prepared by subordinates and consultants.
