MAINTENANCE AIDE (SEASONAL) - GOLD FIELDS DISTRICT / FOLSOM LAKE STATE RECREATION AREA

Priority consideration will be given to any person receiving State public assistance under the CalWORKS program. Applicants who receive State public assistance need to identify their status as a CalWORKS recipient in the comments area on the application. Applicants must submit a verification of their CalWORKS eligibility status, which may include the most recent Notice of Action showing TANF eligibility or a copy of your last aid check stub. If verification is not submitted with the application, the application will not be processed. (Applicants may obtain verification from the CalWORKS program).

The reporting location for this position will be Folsom Lake State Recreation Area located at 7755 Folsom-Auburn Road, Folsom, CA 95630.

This position works under the supervision of the Park Maintenance Chief and under the technical lead supervision of the Park Maintenance Workers. The Seasonal Maintenance Aide is responsible for assisting with the maintenance workload throughout the park units with an emphasis on the cleaning of facilities such as office buildings, maintenance shops and restrooms. The incumbent will ensure that the trails, campgrounds, and surrounding areas are free from litter and other debris. This position is intermittent and may either work up to 189 days or 1500 hours in a 12-month period. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work outdoors and receive training in the field of facility maintenance. Ability to work in team environment, which includes park staff and a diversity of recreational user groups is highly desirable.
