San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health invites qualified professionals to apply for the position of
Licensed Clinical Therapists II for the
Community Crisis Response Team (CCRT). Licensed Clinical Therapists II assigned to CCRT provide field-based crisis response 365 days per year from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and participate in the initial stages of disaster response, on behalf of the Department of Behavioral Health. Field teams provide one-on-one crisis intervention wherever the individual is located.
This Licensed Clinical Therapist II position provides clinical oversight and supervision to pre-licensed field-based teams as well as administrative support to the Clinic Supervisor. This position is a great initial step to becoming a leader within the Department and offers the opportunity to mentor and coach those beginning their careers in behavioral health.
CCRT staff do not carry caseloads and are offered 4/10 schedules. The teams collaborate closely with law enforcement, schools, other Behavioral Health programs, and individuals and families of all ages and demographics.

Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) is responsible for providing mental health and substance use disorder services to county residents who are experiencing major mental illness or substance abuse related issues. DBH provides mental health and substance use disorder prevention and treatment services to all age groups, with a primary emphasis on treating children/youth who may be seriously emotionally disturbed, adults who are experiencing a serious and persistent mental illness, and individuals who are experiencing substance use disorders. DBH also provides an array of outreach/engagement, prevention, and early intervention services. DBH's core values are

DBH is a unique County Department comprised of six (6) service areas: Outpatient Clinics and Youth Services; Substance Use Disorder and Recovery Services; 24-Hour and Emergency Services; Forensic and Homeless Services; Administrative Services; and Program Support Services. The Department currently has a workforce in excess of 1000 positions and an approximate $700 million-dollar annual budget.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Background Check: An extensive background check will include credit check, fingerprint/DOJ LiveScan, and DMV check. Must be a U.S. Citizen or be a permanent U.S. resident. Medical exam will also include drug and TB test. Some positions may require additional background check/process dependent upon the work location.
Shifts: Some programs offer 24-hour services; some assignments may require employees to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call.
Travel: Travel throughout the County may be required depending on assignment. Employees will be required to make provision for transportation (mileage reimbursement at current IRS rate is available). At the time of hire, a valid California driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance must be produced and maintained for the individual providing the transportation.
Differential: Clinical therapists regularly assigned to work night/overnight hours or in detention facilities receive additional compensation. Indicate your interest and availability for positions assigned to night/overnight or detention facilities on the supplemental questionnaire.
Qualifying Experience: Official commencement of job duties cannot begin until candidate possesses one (1) year of experience as a licensed therapist in a mental health or social service setting. Contingent job offers may be made to candidates who are within three (3) months of completing one (1) year of the requisite experience as a licensed therapist.

Minimum Requirements
Licensure: Must have CA state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
--AND-- Experience: One (1) year of experience as a licensed therapist in a mental health or social service setting; the application
must clearly distinguish between pre-licensed and post-licensed experience.
