Development Services Director

Located 20 miles east of downtown Los Angeles in the San Gabriel Valley, the community of La Puente is predominantly residential and home to over 39,000 residents in approximately 3.50 square miles. The City is primarily a residential community (70%) with multiple types of businesses located primarily along major highways and streets. Industrial land use is less than five percent (5%) of the City’s 3.5 square mile land area. The City’s rural community is preserved by a well-defined general plan. Safe neighborhoods, community gathering places, and easy freeway access have earned La Puente a reputation as a great place to establish family roots. Under the general administrative direction from the City Manager, the Development Services Director plans, directs, organizes, budgets, and oversees the programs, projects, and operations of the Development Services Department. The City of La Puente is seeking an experienced, collaborative professional to be the new Development Services Director. The current monthly salary range is $13,031 - $17,866; placement within this range is dependent on qualifications and experience.
