Team Wake as
Bridge to Home Administrator. In this key role, you will lead one of
Wake County’s most impactful efforts to address homelessness. As both a strategic leader and hands-on administrator, you will oversee program implementation, financial management, vendor accountability and system-wide collaboration. Your work will drive service innovation, align with national best practices and strengthen community partnerships to better support individuals experiencing homelessness.
Core Responsibilities:- Oversee and monitor B2H vender contracts and attend staff meetings and participate in staff development
- Manage financial transactions with timely spend down and accurate projections
- Lead the strategic planning, implementation and evaluation of Bridge to Home to align with Wake County’s homelessness response goals
- Facilitate training and capacity-building initiatives for community partners on homelessness interventions
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative interviews, compile data and feedback, and summarize key findings
- Foster collaboration and strategic alignment across Wake County’s homeless service agencies to improve system-wide outcomes
- Coordinate service for marginalized groups, including individuals affected by homelessness, substance use, mental health challenges, poverty, commercial sex workers, incarceration and transitional life stages

As the population and economy continue to grow in Wake County, the need for affordable housing development and preservation increases. Not only do more units of affordable housing need to be built, housing services must be provided to support families and individuals to access or maintain safe, decent, affordable housing. Affordable housing is also critical to preserving Wake County’s economic competitiveness by offering housing for workers at all income levels, supporting housing stability and economic opportunity for its residents and furthering Wake County’s commitment to healthy and inclusive growth. The Department’s programs include Community Revitalization, Development Financing, Rental Assistance, Homeless and Prevention Services, Community Outreach, Emergency Shelter, Veterans Services and Permanent Supportive Housing.
The Basics (Required Education and Experience) - Bachelor's degree
- Two years of job-related experience
- Valid Driver's License and "safe" driving record
- Equivalent education and experience are accepted

Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience) - Masters Degree in Public Administration, Social Work, Public Health, or related fields
- 3-5 years of experience in program management or system coordination within homeless services
- Experience in managing and monitoring government-funded contracts
- Experience implementing evidence-based practices in homelessness response, including Housing First, Coordinated Entry and Trauma-Informed Care
- Experience designing and facilitating training sessions or technical assistance for service providers or community stakeholders
How Will We Know You're 'The One'? - Knowledge of national best practices in homelessness response
- Ability to see both the big picture and operational details to advance a complex homeless services system
- Proven ability to build partnerships and foster collaboration across agencies, sector and communities
- Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills, with the ability to negotiate affordable housing transactions and lead the implementation of new programs
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines and analytical skills to monitor budgets, evaluate program outcomes and enhance service delivery
- Ability to lead with empathy and integrity, earning the trust of diverse partners and individuals experiencing homelessness and is passionate about creating equitable systems that remove barriers perpetuating homelessness
