Uncertain times are here. Social distancing is a reality. And, my neighbors have a freezer full of chicken!<\/p>\n
This Covid-19 virus thing is new for most of us and we\u2019re still not sure how to\u00a0react. Sprinkle in anger, hanging with your loved ones a lot and a stock\u00a0market that took a significant hit and the near future looks bleak. And yet,\u00a0public sector employees are in the middle of it all helping us keep towns, cities\u00a0and states running!<\/p>\n
Work has changed. Many of us are still working from\u00a0home. Life has changed.\u00a0\u00a0Going out is still scary for many.<\/p>\n
Relationships have changed. Viral is in. In-person is out, but we\u2019re finally\u00a0opening up some business.<\/p>\n
\u00a0The world we knew is on hold. It\u2019s adjusting and it\u2019s going to be fine. Question\u00a0is\u2010 are YOU going to be fine?<\/p>\n
Statistically, some more will get sick and sadly, some more will die, the virus\u00a0will hopefully subside, a vaccine will be found. And, life will slowly\u2026. slowly\u00a0get back to normal.<\/p>\n
Public sector employees, businesses, and leaders will begin to move forward\u00a0together again. It will be safe for groups to gather, celebrate, live life and party once again. This is a harsh test for all of us. It ain\u2019t easy. Thankfully, most\u00a0have food and shelter. That\u2019s a big deal when you think about essentials and\u00a0the non\u2010essentials like sports, entertainment, dining and gatherings. These\u00a0are now a bonus and will be embraced with joy again throughout the world\u00a0when we\u2019re given the \u201cgreen light\u201d to resume normal activities.<\/p>\n
This stinks because we\u2019re often still stuck at home, in an office that doesn\u2019t\u00a0always feel 100% safe from a health perspective. Or, we\u2019re binge\u2010watching,\u00a0having a drink or two and eating prepared meals again when ordering gets to\u00a0be too much. It\u2019s difficult to adjust to some change.<\/p>\n
Question\u2010 can ordering out or pick up ever become too much? I think not!<\/p>\n

Listen to them. Hear their rants and then it\u2019s your turn. Change is tough. This change is proving to be really rough.<\/li>\n You\u2019ve got a phone or computer, right? Put it down, unplug and go for a walk with a friend or loved one. But, keep your distance. Or, hold hands, it\u2019s your call. I went with a walk with my lovely wife today. We held hands and tried to smile.<\/li>\n Eat something that makes you happy. Eat something that is good for you.\u00a0 Repeat.<\/li>\n Any form of exercise will help. Anything. Be active, stretch, do some pushups, ride your bike, go for a hike, run, walk.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\nThese are uncharted waters and navigating them takes poise, tenacity and,<\/p>\n
okay, I\u2019ll admit it, candy. That\u2019s right. Don\u2019t tell my doctor, but I have a small\u00a0reserve of candy I eat to keep me happy. We may be low on toilet paper, but\u00a0the stores have food and plenty of candy!\u00a0<\/p>\n
