Town of Addison

The City of Addison was incorporated on June 15, 1953, under an alder-manic form of government and was changed to the "Town of Addison" in 1982.

During the late 1970's and early 1980's, Addison experienced explosive growth. Today, the business and daytime population typically reaches up to 100,000 a day. The residential population has grown dramatically. There are 21 apartment complexes and over 1,500 single family homes and town homes all conveniently located within 4.5 square miles.

Today, Addison's progressive Mayor and City Councilmembers; professional Town staff; and the business and residential leaders have formed a partnership that is dedicated to making sure future development of Addison remains a step above standard, using quality as the touchstone for development.

Working together to provide and protect an enhanced quality of life for our community and each other through a balance of personalized service, uncompromising commitment, and individualized accountability.
