Founded in 1875 and incorporated in 1887, the City of Colton covers an area of approximately 17.16 square miles. Colton, with a current population of over 49,000 is located between the Cities of San Bernardino and Riverside, in the middle of the Inland Empire, one of the fastest growing regions in the United States.
