LACAHSA is an independent agency and is governed by a Board of Directors that includes representatives from across the region and directs a sizable amount of its revenue back to local communities. The community organizations and policymakers who designed LACAHSA worked with local leaders to make sure the agency represents Los Angeles as a region, with active citizen oversight and accountability.
