    Job Description

    As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol in Annandale, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and communication.     Position Type: Full Time

    Pay Rate: $21.74 / Hour

    Job Schedule:

    DayTimeWed10:00 PM - 06:00 AMThur10:00 PM - 06:00 AMFri10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSat10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSun10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

    What You'll Do:

    • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
    • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may call for an armed presence in accordance with post orders and applicable guidelines.
    • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
    • Monitor access points and observe for trespassing, disorderly conduct, and/or suspicious behavior, while documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
    • Support healthcare operations by assisting with access control, visitor screening, and/or de-escalation efforts during high-traffic periods, emergencies, or other sensitive situations.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
    • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
    • Be at least 21 years of age.
    • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
    • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
    • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
    • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
    • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
    • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
    • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
