    Job Description

    As a Armed Security Officer - Shipyard Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic aerospace and defense location, helping to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence, routine patrols, and strong communication. This armed post offers the chance to support critical operations while delivering customer service with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach in a fast-paced environment.

    Position Type: Full Time

    Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

    Job Schedule:

    DayTimeMon06:00 AM - 02:30 PMTue06:00 AM - 02:30 PMWed06:00 AM - 02:30 PMThur06:00 AM - 02:30 PMSun06:00 AM - 02:30 PM

    What You'll Do:

    • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
    • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and emergency services when needed.
    • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
    • Monitor access points and verify credentials for entry into controlled areas, following post orders and reporting access control concerns, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations.
    • Support incident reporting and daily operations by completing required logs, maintaining awareness of changing site conditions, and following Allied Universal post directives and client-facing standards.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
    • Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
    • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
    • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
    • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
    • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
    • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
    • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
    • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
    • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
