Pay Rate: $21.90 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with site post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with screening, visitor processing, and/or restricted area entry procedures in support of site protocols and daily operations.
• Document incidents, observations, and/or security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, staff, and/or first responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A DCJS license is required in Virginia.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
