    Armed Rover Security Officer


    Job Summary:

    The Armed Rover Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by conducting mobile patrols, responding to incidents, and enforcing security protocols across assigned locations. This role requires vigilance, sound judgment, and the ability to respond quickly to emergencies.


    Shift Schedule:


    3rd Shift (Overnight): Saturday through Wednesday

    Hours: 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM

    Flexibility required to adjust hours based on operational needs, emergencies, or coverage requirements


    Key Responsibilities:


    Conduct regular mobile patrols of assigned properties and surrounding areas

    Monitor for suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security breaches

    Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies

    Enforce company policies, client rules, and applicable laws

    Provide visible deterrence against theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access

    Write detailed and accurate incident and daily activity reports

    Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary

    Ensure proper handling and safe use of issued firearm and equipment

    Assist employees, visitors, and clients in a professional manner


    Qualifications:


    Must be at least 26 years of age

    Valid driver's license with a clean/good driving record

    Valid armed security license (state-specific, such as through the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services if applicable)

    Current firearm permit and training certification

    High school diploma or equivalent (required)

    Previous security, law enforcement, or military experience (preferred)

    Strong observational and decision-making skills

    Ability to remain calm under pressure


    Physical Requirements:


    Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods

    Capability to operate a vehicle for patrol duties

    Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations


    Work Environment:


    Outdoor and indoor environments

    Overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays

    Exposure to varying weather conditions
