Job Description

As a Security Officer Mobile Patrol in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Residential Officer, where you will monitor and patrol a residential location, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access activity with professionalism. You will deliver outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with residents and guests, and bring a reliable, people-first approach that reflects teamwork, integrity, and innovation in every shift.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $20.90 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with property management and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and resident activity to help support community policies and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or rule violations.
• Assist with routine reports, incident logs, and shift communications to help keep property representatives and Allied Universal leadership informed of security-related matters at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
