    The Role

    GovExec is seeking a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and service-minded Senior Multimedia Producer, based in the Washington, D.C. area, to join the growing GovExec TV team. In this role, you will be a critical player in producing content and effectively translating your vision to clients, coworkers, and freelancers. As the Senior Multimedia Producer, you will have strong writing, video editing, and research skills. It is also a plus if you have experience working or writing for the government sector.

    Responsibilities

    • Own end-to-end production for assigned projects from concept through delivery
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for video and audio production projects
    • Manage and coordinate freelance videographers, editors, and production partners as needed
    • Travel to support on-site video production, including 2-3 trips per month outside of DC and frequent local travel within the DMV area
    • Script and produce long- and short-form video content across platforms
    • Manage on-site and studio production, including multi-camera setups, at live events and on-location shoots
    • Oversee post-production workflows (editing, encoding, asset management)
    • Maintain digital assets and production systems
    • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop compelling content

    • Producing high-quality video content that meets client expectations and drives engagement
    • Managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining deadlines and quality
    • Elevating GovExec TV's production quality and consistency across programs

    Qualifications

    • 5-7 years of experience in broadcast production
    • Experience producing content for a variety of platforms, including TV, podcasts, web, mobile, and social media
    • Advanced experience using Sony-based equipment
    • Creative, innovative, and experimental with high editorial standards
    • Ability to write and edit across various content areas, including technology, finance, health, defense, and more
    • Comfortable with non-linear editing
    • Ability to lift and carry production equipment as needed
    • Comfort working in fast-paced, on-site environments and handling production logistics
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop)
    • Experience with video production equipment and workflows
    • Strong client service skills and detail-oriented
