    Job Description

    As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication.     Position Type: Full Time

    Pay Rate: $29.00 / Hour

    Job Schedule:

    DayTimeMon02:00 PM - 10:30 PMTue02:00 PM - 10:30 PMSat06:00 AM - 02:30 PMSun06:00 AM - 02:30 PM

    What You'll Do:

    • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
    • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
    • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations while maintaining awareness of unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
    • Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with post orders, applicable regulations, and Allied Universal standards, using sound judgment during routine activities and/or elevated situations.
    • Monitor entry points, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
    • Possess an armed guard card/license.
    • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
    • Be at least 21 years of age.
    • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
    • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
    • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
    • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
    • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
    • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
    • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
