    FULL-TIME ARMED SPECIAL POLICE OFFICER (SPO)
    Location: Washington, DC - Community Housing
    REQUIREMENT: Current Armed DC SPO Certification

    Valentis Group, Inc. is seeking professional Armed Special Police Officers (SPOs) to provide protection and peace of mind to residents in community housing. If you're mission-driven, highly observant, and customer-service oriented, we encourage you to apply.

    Note: Four days of paid training in Pittsburgh, PA, are required.

    Position Overview:
    SPOs are responsible for maintaining a visible security presence, managing access control, patrolling the premises, and responding to incidents. The role includes identifying threats, reporting hazards, and supporting a safe environment for all residents and staff.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform foot, vehicle, and post patrols to deter threats and maintain order
    • Enforce access protocols and respond to alarms/emergencies
    • Complete reports and document all significant incidents
    • Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and supervisors
    • De-escalate conflicts and maintain professional conduct in all interactions
    • Maintain a clean and organized post or vehicle at all times

    Qualifications:

    • Active Armed DC SPO Certification (required)
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Strong written, verbal, and observational skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
