    As a Security Officer Government Patrol Full-Time in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

    As a Security Officer with Allied Universal assigned to a government location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment by conducting routine patrols and remaining visible throughout the property. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to the community you serve. You will interact with the public and staff, offering exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding promptly to security-related situations.     What You'll Do:

    • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
    • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
    • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
    • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
    • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
    • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
    • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
    • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual occurrences to appropriate personnel.
    • Assist visitors and employees with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
    • Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders when required, following established protocols.
    • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.

    What We're Looking For:

    • Availability across various days and shifts
    • Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
    • A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
    • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    Minimum Requirements:

    • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
    • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
    • A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
    • Baton certification is preferred.
    • CPR certification is preferred.
    • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
    • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
    • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
    • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
    • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
