PROSPECT RESEARCH ANALYST
Administrative Analyst Specialist II

Salary Range : $5,274 - $7,684/Monthly (Budgeted Hiring Salary Range $5,274-$5,709/Monthly)
Work Schedule : Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Exempt classification.
Essential Functions : Reporting to the Director of Advancement Services, the incumbent will identify, research, and qualify or determine whether individuals are major gift prospects, consistent with the priorities of the University. To accomplish these tasks and ensure the fundraising staff has an on-going supply of prospects to meet the University’s fundraising goals, the incumbent will conduct comprehensive research and analysis using free and paid prospect research tools, such as LexisNexis, ResearchPoint, Target Analytics, and LiveAlumni, in addition to the constituent relationship management database, Raiser’s Edge. The incumbent will use their analysis of data to create comprehensive prospective donor research profiles, event bios, due-diligence screenings, and various requested reports related to prospect research. The incumbent will also be responsible for working with the department of Administrative Technology on large-scale data imports to ensure efficiency and database accuracy. The incumbent will follow applicable University and University Advancement policies and procedures, and follow applicable best practices and protocols outlined by the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement (APRA).
Required Qualifications & Experience : Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or equivalent training. Two years of administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs. Experience using paid prospect research tools (i.e. ResearchPoint, LexisNexis, LiveAlumni, and/or other resources). Experience working with constituent relationship management databases. Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling, along with the ability to effectively write and present reports and other documents in a professional manner. University Advancement positions require staff to work with highly confidential and sensitive information. Successful candidates should have a working knowledge and appreciation for highly confidential information and data. Proficiency in online research from multiple data sources with the ability to interpret, analyze, and summarize complex biographical and financial data for a fundraising operation. Demonstrated technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software. Must have the ability to: take initiative and manage multiple projects using excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines; handle confidential and sensitive information at all times: and work collaboratively as part of a team in a diverse environment. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who may apply for the position.

Desired Qualifications : Prior experience researching individuals in a higher education fundraising organization. Experience working with Raiser’s Edge and using Query and ImportOmatic in the Raiser’s Edge database. Thorough knowledge of ResearchPoint wealth screening results and Target Analytics modeling scores. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel formulas and PivotTables.
