    Job Summary

    The ideal candidate:
    • Demonstrates strong analytical skills with the ability to manage complex financial and operational data
    • Experienced in budget development, monitoring, and administration processes
    • Skilled in financial analysis, forecasting, and clear reporting of findings
    • Knowledgeable in grant management, including compliance, tracking, and administration
    • Able to support multiple departments, programs, and stakeholders effectively
    • Exercises sound judgment and works independently under general supervision
    • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
    • Communicates complex financial information clearly to diverse audiences
    • Proficient in prioritizing tasks and managing competing deadlines
    • Adaptable and responsive to evolving organizational needs and assignments

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience:
    MINIMUM: Equivalent to Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with major course work in accounting, business or public administration, economics, finance, statistics, or related field and two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in the maintenance and review of accounting, financial, or fiscal records equivalent to the County’s class of Accounting Technician. Relevant financial experience may be substituted for up to two years of the required education on a year for year basis.
    PREFERRED:In addition to the minimum, additional years of experience as defined above in a public agency.

    Licenses and Certification:
    • The ability to obtain a valid California Class C driver's license within ten (10) days of employment; may be required to maintain throughout employment.
    Special Requirements:
    • Must successfully complete an extensive and thorough background investigation which may include Live Scan fingerprinting and/or credit check prior to hire.
    • Will be required to perform disaster service activities pursuant to Government Code 3100-3109.

Members of the Board of Supervisors serve as the legislative and executive body for Yuba County and provide policy direction for all branches of County government.
