That's why we created the Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As an Armed Security Officer - Hospital Flex in Las Vegas, NV, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $18.54 / Hour Job Schedule:DayTimeWed12:00 PM - 06:00 PMHow This Role Works:
    • Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities:
      • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence and timely communication with site contacts and/or first responders.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or unusual conditions.Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with site policies, while documenting incidents, observations, and security-related concerns in required reports.Support de-escalation efforts and assist with emergency and medical-related response procedures as appropriate for the location, while maintaining professionalism and attention to policy and post orders. Minimum Requirements:
        • Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.Possess a CPO certification.Possess an armed guard card and/or license.Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.Be at least 21 years of age.Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:
