Job Summary
The Executive Manager of Airport Police and Security is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational oversight, and regulatory compliance of all airport law enforcement and aviation security functions. Provides executive direction to the Airport Police Department and Aviation Security Division, ensuring full compliance with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulations under 49 CFR Part 1542, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements, and the Airport Security Program (ASP). Serves as the Airport's primary authority on Aviation security and law enforcement coordination, integrating physical security, access control, badging, compliance auditing, and incident response into a unified, risk-based security framework. Accountable for maintaining a secure operating environment for passengers, tenants, employees, and stakeholders while supporting efficient airport operations.

What you'll do
- Direct and oversee all Airport Police and Aviation Security operations, including sworn law enforcement personnel and civilian security staff.
- Provide direct leadership to the Aviation Security Manager and Airport Police Chief.
- Establish strategic priorities, performance metrics, and operational policies for airport-wide security and policing functions.
- Ensure alignment of security operations with airport operational goals.
- Ensure full compliance with 49 CFR Part 1542, the Airport Security Program (ASP), and all applicable TSA Security Directives and Information Circulars.
- Oversee development, implementation, and continuous improvement of all security-related policies, procedures, and programs.
- Maintain rigorous internal controls, audit programs, and compliance assurance mechanisms.
- Provide oversight for Aviation security functions including:
- SIDA badging and access control systems
- Identity Management Systems (IDMS)
- Security threat assessments and vetting processes
- Terminal and perimeter security measures
- Security systems (e.g., ACS, VMS, IDMS).
- Provide executive oversight of the Airport Police Department, including patrol operations, investigations, emergency response, and public safety functions.
- Ensure coordinated response capabilities for incidents involving Aviation security breaches, criminal activity, and emergencies.
- Establish enforcement strategies that support regulatory compliance and safe airport operations.
- Direct comprehensive security assessments, audits, and testing programs in accordance with TSA requirements.
- Conduct regular reviews of all airport security functions to ensure effectiveness and compliance
- Ensure corrective action plans are developed for identified vulnerabilities or deficiencies.
- Oversee investigations related to aviation security breaches, access control violations, and regulatory non-compliance.
- Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and coordination with TSA and law enforcement agencies.
- Lead post-incident analysis and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Build and maintain strong strategic relationships to support coordinated security efforts.
- Communicate security program changes, regulatory updates, and operational impacts in a timely and effective manner.
- Manage all responses to requests for information from TSA and other federal, state, and local agencies.
- Prepare executive-level briefings, reports, and documentation related to security compliance and operational readiness.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of security incidents and compliance activities.
- Maintain 24/7 availability for security-related incidents, TSA coordination, and critical operational needs.
- Provide executive-level decision making during emergencies and security events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
REQUIRES
- An accredited Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, or a related field AND
- Eight (8) years of experience in Airport Security, Law Enforcement, or Aviation Operations with
- Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in managing sworn law enforcement, civilian security, or airport operations personnel OR
- An equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience
