    Permit Technician

    Salary: $7,087 – $8,614 monthly

    The Town of Corte Madera’s Community Development Department is recruiting for a Permit Technician to join their collaborative and service-oriented team.  The Permit Technician serves as a primary point of contact for the public, assisting customers with planning and building permit applications, coordinating inspections, processing permits, maintaining records, and supporting development review operations.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist customers at the public counter and by phone
    • Review permit applications and plan submittals
    • Schedule inspections and process permits
    • Calculate and collect permit fees
    • Maintain permit records and databases
    • Coordinate with contractors, residents, and Town staff

     

    Ideal Candidate

    The ideal candidate is a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with a strong commitment to customer service and public engagement. This individual communicates clearly and effectively, works collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders, and is able to successfully coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have experience supporting permit processing, development review, or public agency operations and will demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, and strong problem-solving skills while delivering responsive and high-quality service to the community.
