    Motorola Solutions is seeking experienced 9-1-1 Systems Trainers to support the successful rollout of the Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG-911) system using the Vesta platform for public safety agencies in New York City.

    This is a critical training role during a major technology upgrade. You will deliver high-quality, hands-on training to emergency communications personnel (call takers, dispatchers, and supervisors) transitioning to a new, advanced call-handling and public safety platform.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver comprehensive technical training on the Vesta NG-911 platform and related systems to groups of 10-15 adult learners
    • Design and facilitate training sessions for non-technical public safety professionals, including classroom instruction, practical exercises, and evaluations
    • Adapt training delivery to accommodate various learning styles and shift schedules (including evenings, overnights, and weekends)
    • Support end-users during go-live and post-implementation phases
    • Provide feedback to project leadership on training effectiveness and user readiness
    • Travel to various on-site NYC emergency communications locations as needed

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum 3 years of experience as a professional trainer or facilitator in public safety, emergency communications, law enforcement, fire service, or related government environment
    • Demonstrated ability to deliver technical system or software training to non-technical audiences
    • Strong platform skills and classroom presence with experience managing groups of 10-15 adult learners
    • Solid familiarity with 9-1-1 operations, emergency dispatch workflows, or public safety communications
    • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening, overnight, or weekend sessions to accommodate shift workers
    • NYC residency or ability to commute to on-site NYC locations required

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Prior experience as a 9-1-1 dispatcher, call taker, communications supervisor, or public safety trainer
    • APCO or NENA certifications (e.g., PST1, CTO, RPL, ENP) strongly preferred
    • Experience training staff on a new or upgraded call handling platform
    • Experience supporting large-scale technology rollouts in a government or municipal setting
