    DESCRIPTION OF WORK
    This position supports planned activities that help residents maintain and improve their physical, social, and cognitive abilities. As a Therapeutic Activities Aide, you will perform the following duties:Activity Support: Assist in planning and conducting recreational and educational activities that support resident well-beingResident Assistance: Escort residents to programs, provide transportation when needed, and ensure safety during activitiesProgram Participation: Lead or assist with group sessions such as games, crafts, outings, music, or exerciseVolunteer Coordination: Support volunteers by giving clear guidance, reviewing safety practices, and helping them assist residents during activities
    Record Keeping: Document resident attendance, behavior, incidents, and progress for supervisors and care teamsSupply Management: Maintain activity supplies, select needed materials, and prepare items for scheduled programs

    Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment, 40 hours per weekWork hours are 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch. You will have Sunday and Monday off.Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.     REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
    QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Six months of experience as an Aide Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); orSix months of work experience providing care to individuals requiring assistance with daily activities; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training.
    Special Requirements:You must be in possession of an active motor vehicle license.
    Additional Requirements:You must be able to perform essential job functions.
    Legal Requirements:A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
