The following vacancy exists in Goshen Community Schools for the 2025-26 school year:Goshen Community SchoolsCrossing GuardPOSITION PURPOSE: Provides safety and welfare of students in transit to and/or from school; and communicates observations and/or incidents that may impact the general wellbeing of students.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:* Assists students and parents in providing safe access to and from schools.* Communicates school policies and enforcement procedures to students, personnel and visitors to ensuring their understanding and the potential consequences of violation.* Directs students and other pedestrians to ensuring their safe access to and from school.* Intervenes in potentially hazardous situations to minimizing injury to involved parties.* Maintains equipment (e.g. stop sign, vests, street signs, etc.) to ensuring availability of required items.* Reports observations and/or incidents relating to specific students i.e. accidents, fights, inappropriate social behavior, violations of rules, etc.* Communicates information for follow up by appropriate instructional and/or administrative personnel.REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of ageQUALIFICATIONS:* Must be reliable* Safety OrientedHOURS: As NeededSALARY: $16.00 per visit (Schedule #23-CGSUB)For questions regarding this position please contact:Don GravesTransportation613 East Purl StGoshen, IN 46526dgraves@goshenschools.orgThe Goshen Community School's Board of School Trustees is an equal opportunity employer.
