    Firefighting Crew Director

    Direct the work of firefighting crews.

    Oversee master operational roster and schedules to ensure adequate personnel and staff coverage during each shift.

    Review updates and recommend changes to division standard operating procedures and guidelines.

    Schedule and approve leave for immediate subordinates.

    Perform one-on-one counseling with subordinates to resolve problems and complaints expediently.

    Assume operational control at emergency incidents directing firefighting crews until relieved.

    Review plans for construction and building modifications to assure compliance.

    Direct operational activities for fire stations to include care and maintenance of equipment and facilities.

    Prepare accident and injury reports and performs after action investigations.

    Discuss fire hazards, deficiencies and health and safety hazards with responsible installation officials.

    Instruct firefighter personnel in classroom and hands-on training exercises.

    Attend meetings and give briefings on behalf of the Fire Chief.

    Resolve conflicts among technical heads of agencies when operational problems exist.
