The CDO will be responsible for the secure detention and transportation of prisoners while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and compliance with federal guidelines./ppWe offer a full range of benefits:/pulliCompetitive pay/liliMedical, Dental, Vision Plans/liliPaid Time Off/liliRecognition and Reward Programs/liliTraining and Career Development/lili401k/li/ulpKey Responsibilities:/pulliMonitor and supervise inmates through regular walking rounds and visual checks within housing units, common areas, and facility grounds./liliMaintain order and discipline among inmates, responding to incidents and disturbances when necessary./liliEscort and transport inmates securely within the facility and to external locations as required, following all safety protocols./liliConduct thorough inmate searches and cell inspections to prevent the introduction or possession of contraband./liliUse handcuffing and restraint techniques in accordance with policy and training standards./liliWork as part of a team of Correctional Detention Officers (CDOs) to manage and oversee housing units of 10205 inmates./liliComplete reports and documentation related to inmate behavior, incidents, and daily activities./liliUphold facility regulations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and agency-specific standards for inmate care and detention./li/ulpRequired Skills and Attributes:/pulliPrior experience in inmate searches and applying hand restraints is essential./liliMust be able to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure, especially during high-stress or emergency situations./liliStrong communication and teamwork skills, especially in managing large inmate populations with other officers./li/ulpWork Environment:/pulliWork is performed primarily within a secure jail facility, with duties requiring prolonged periods of standing, walking, and physical alertness./liliOfficers must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as assigned./liliFlexibility is required to accommodate shift changes and varying job assignments./li/ulpVeterans/ppInter-Con is passionate about hiring veterans.
