Summary
The Probation Officer Specialist is responsible for providing supervision and support for juvenile offenders under jurisdiction of the court, in accordance with the Juvenile Act, JCJC Juvenile Court Standards and the Juvenile Probation Department Mission. The Probation Officer Specialist will provide mentoring, coaching and /or peer training to JPO staff and will manage additional responsibilities, either as assigned or sanctioned, that are in addition to traditional PO I or PO II responsibilities. Qualifications and duties associated with the JPO Specialist Probation Officer positions include: Proficiency working with: Moderate/ High Risk youth High Stabilization needs youth Coordinating Community Based Services Specialized Caseloads (Sex Offender Substance Abuse Mental Health- Out of County/ State) This job requires the following documents to be obtained, reviewed as acceptable by the supervisor and re-obtained every three years: PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal History and FBI Crimin...Officer, Specialist, Police Officer, Business Services, Skills -
