    Job Title

    Experience and Qualifications: Possess a high school diploma or GED. CPR and First Aid training Strong organizational skills, both written and verbal. Must have the ability to effectively solve problems in a professional manner. Ability to interact with families in a manner that demonstrates respect and dignity. Ability to resolve minor conflicts. Trained in de-escalation skills and passive restraint. Valid and unrestricted Pennsylvania driver's license Familiarity with all laws relating to school transportation Act 34 Clearance, Act 151 Clearance, FBI Clearance (self-paid) Drug Screening (self-paid) Act 126 & Act 71 Training Certificates Letter of Interest, Resume and Application through the District website

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    Patrols District buildings & grounds to prevent fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry. Patrols school grounds to detect unauthorized persons or vehicles. Assist in maintaining proper student behavior in restrooms, hallways, cafeteria, on school grounds, at school events and at other areas as assigned. Monitoring the hallways for proper identification (i.e. hall passes for students, visitor passes for non-employee guests). Retrieving students from various classes as requested by staff (i.e. detention, discipline referrals). Possible removal of students from property as requested. Assist in maintaining general upkeep of the building, by reporting damage, and by removing debris within assigned areas. Serve in various capacities at special events as directed by staff. Assist students with upholding rules and regulations consistent with the goals and objectives of the building to which you are assigned. Assist administrators, staff, and police in reporting incidents, by identifying students and/or adults involved in activities that may be illegal or harmful to students, staff or others. Conduct orientation tours for new students. Maintain a daily log (i.e.: classroom pick ups, incident reports, etc). Participate in all District trainings as required. Attend appropriate training as offered (i.e. passive restraints, CPR, conflict resolution). Provide coverage for the Restorative Practices Room as needed. Possible physical intervention in student altercations. Wear District-approved security uniform when working. Carry communication device and respond to all calls in a timely fashion. Transport students in District-owned vehicle as necessary. Monitors students while on a bus; ensures safety and order, to include seat belt/harness usage. Maintains a clean and safe environment for students and auxiliary personnel. Manages student behaviors and reports discipline problems to appropriate Administrator Provide first aid, if necessary. Provides assistance during emergencies Participate in evacuation planning and drills, imparts knowledge and operates emergency window exit All other duties assigned by supervisor.
