    The following duties are typical for this position:

    • Processes, records, maintains and serves civil and criminal documents as needed.
    • Patrols precinct as a deterrent to crime.
    • Assists public within scope of authority.
    • Maintains good investigative skills to work with gang and drug related crimes and to locate wanted person.
    • Secures and preserves crime scenes.
    • May work with traffic enforcement/traffic investigation.
    • Composes and types memos and correspondence; prepares and distributes invoices.
    • Tracks, balances, monitors and reconciles budget items.
    • Responds to telephone inquiries and/or directs to proper person.
    • Organizes and maintains filing system for state records.
    • Assists other employees with their duties; trains office staff as needed.
    • Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.

    Minimum Job Requirements:

    • High School Diploma/GED.
    • One year job related experience preferred.
    • Strong computer skills; ability to complete assigned tasks in timely manner.
    • Verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with the public.
    • Valid Texas Driver License.
    • Basic TCOLE certification.

    Starting Salary Range: $33.60 - $42.00 hourly based on qualifications

    Closing Date: Upon filling 2 positions
