    Traffic Control Flagger

    The Traffic Control Flagger is responsible for safely directing vehicles, equipment, and pedestrians through active construction zones. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety of workers, motorists, and the general public by following proper traffic control procedures and maintaining clear communication with the crew.

    Responsibilities:

    • Control the flow of traffic through work zones using stop/slow paddles, hand signals, radios, and signage.
    • Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices such as cones, barrels, signs, and barricades in accordance with standards.
    • Maintain constant awareness of surroundings to identify hazards and adjust traffic patterns as needed.
    • Communicate clearly with other flaggers, equipment operators, and supervisors to coordinate safe movement through the work zone.
    • Provide direction to motorists, ensuring safe, courteous, and professional interaction at all times.
    • Monitor work zone conditions and report any unsafe activity, near misses, or incidents immediately.
    • Assist with cleanup and breakdown of traffic control setups at the end of the shift.
    • Remain alert and attentive for long periods, especially in high-traffic or high-risk areas.
    • Follow all Falcon Contracting safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned to support field operations.

    Qualifications:

    • Must possess or be willing to obtain a Flagger Certification - We will train the right candidate.
    • Ability to stand for long periods, work in extreme weather, and lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm in stressful or fast-paced environments.
    • Reliable transportation to job sites.
    • Ability to follow instructions and maintain a safety-first mindset.
    • Must be punctual, dependable, and professional in appearance and behavior.
    • Outdoor highway and roadway construction environments with noise, heat/cold, dust, and traffic exposure.
    • Work hours may include early mornings, long shifts, nights, weekends, and overtime depending on project needs.

    Candidates must be able to pass the following:

    • Drug Screen
    • Background Screening
    • MVR Screening
